This product is wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) labeled with our superior near-IR fluorescent dye CF680. WGA is a carbohydrate-binding lectin that has high affinity for sialic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. Thus, fluorescent WGA conjugates can be used to stain glycoproteins that have these sugar moieties.
CF680 dye (Ex/Em = 681/698 nm) produces conjugates with better signal-to-noise ratio than those prepared from other spectrally similar dyes, such as Alexa Fluor? 680, Cy?5.5 and IRDye? 680 (download the CF680 Flyer for more information). CF680 Annexin V does not contain azide or other potentially toxic materials, and thus is suitable for in vivo imaging.
